Dear Colleagues,
Attached is an invitation from the MEC for Social Development to the Second Gauteng Welfare Summit, which will take place on 30 and 31 October 2008 at the Falala Hall in Soshanguve. Directions are supplied. Each organisation may send only one representative - unfortunately space is limited. Due to budgetary limitations it may not be possible to provide buses. Efforts are being made to find a way around this problem. If these do not succeed, we will need to get as many people there as possible by sharing available transport. it will be much appreciated if organisations who have minibuses etc, and are able to make them available for those two days, will come forward. If you are able to help, please let me know.
Please forward this invitation to all on your networks - especially CBOs who may not be on other databases. Let's turn out in force! The Summit will move us to the next stage in the development of the partnership in service delivery between government and civil society. We will be debating crucial issues relating to financing, partnership, transformation, human resourcing, capacity-building, social planning and information management. The voice of every organisation is needed. It is essential that you reserve your seat in advance - please respond to any one of the persons mentioned on the invitation. Also provide details of any special dietary requirements.
