This report is a summary of the key activities of The Forum across South Africa in the above-mentioned period. It serves to outline the main activities and outcomes achieved by the organisation and its members.
Making Policy Work
Eastern Cape
Ivan Siyila attended the OR Tambo Advisory Board Executive meeting where the planning for the last semester of the year. They planned to conduct workshops on Conflict Management, Service Level Agreements and Report Writing because they believe that these areas are vital for the funded NGOs and Community Projects.
Furthermore, the Advisory Board also planned to hold a meeting on 12 August 2009 to combine all Governing Boards of the funded NGOs and CBOs due to the gross dissatisfaction of NGOs with the Department of Social Development.
The Executive Advisory Board gave Ivan the task to lead the implementation strategy for both the workshops and the Inter-Boards meeting.
