Age-In-Action is a developed organisation who collaborate with other stakeholders to restore the dignity of older persons through advocacy and lobbying, research and technology, training and development and economic empowerment activities. Community Development Programme, which encourages the improvement and development of service infrastructures among underdeveloped communities. This is achieved by providing information and training to NGOs on how to utilise and sustain human resources. It also promotes awareness on HIV/AIDS pandemic. 2. Training Programmes are given within the community at an early stage in the social healthcare system. The programmes benefit the community in terms of job creation – community members help at the recreational centres for elders, and also assist the organisation in managing their facilities and providing information on the latest trends on issues relating to the field of aged care management. 3. Old Age Home Programme (Interim Homes for the Abused Older Persons) provides accommodation for abused older people. 4. Basic Adult Education Programmes equip service centres / luncheon clubs by supplying them with a basic library kit to be used by members of the community. 5. Income Generating Programmes are intended to increase old age pensions. In most cases the pension money granted to an older person is the main source of income for them as well as their families. 6. Operation Dignity Programme provides help and basic needs services to the needy older persons, and in cases of suspected abuse, in their homes. 7. Inter-Generational Programme is a collaboration between young and old to interact with each other and transfer necessary life skills pertaining to, for example, culture and modern technology.
