Education and Development Liaison Officer- Pretoria Print E-mail
Basic salary: R 230, 000 ( TCT- inclusive of benefits)

Main purpose of post:
To promote and provide support in the implementation of education and development policies, standards, operational plans and programmes and provide and implement internal human capital development plan and services.

Minimum Requirements:

Registration with the SACSSP, post graduate qualification (s) in social services, a minimum of two years relevant post graduate experience in the field of social services; proven exposure to project management; knowledge and experience in administration, report writing and minute-taking; understanding of education, training and development policies, standards development and quality management systems and proceedures;computer literacy; valid driver’s licence; willingness to travel.

Functions / Key responsibilities:
Assistance with the development and implementation of policies and strategic plans of the SACSSP pertaining to all social service professionals registered with the Council; effective planning and execution of the projects and activities of the Education and Development Division in consulation with the manager of the division; administrative support to the division; execution of the resolutions of the professional boards established at the council pertaining to the education and training of social service professionals; conduct research as directed; stakeholder networking; minute taking at meetings; assist in the management and administrative procedures regarding education, training and development matters.

Generic knowledge and competencies required for the position:
Appropriate higher education qualification within the social services sector; a general knowledge of education, training and development policies and proceedures; appropriate experience regarding the arrangement of meetings and minute taking; good communication skills (verbal and written); research skills ;client orientation and customer focus; presentation skills; honesty and integrity
