President Zuma told the national council of provinces in 2009 that “There should be no shame, no discrimination, no recriminations. We must break the stigma surrounding AIDS”. This was followed by the recent launch of the national HIV Testing and Counselling (HCT) campaign with the aim of testing 15 million people for HIV by 2011. Positive Convention in partnership with Soul Cityʼs OneLove Campaign, MTN Foundation, Human Science Research Council and Kwa Zulu Natal Premierʼs HIV/AIDS Unit brings you 2010 Positive Convention – a conference about living with HIV/AIDS. The conference aimed at sharing experiences and challenges faced by people living with HIV/AIDS. Discussions will then be developed into an action plan on how to respond to those challenges including the role of people living with HIV in the HCT campaign.
