Based in Tzaneen, Liza is the Limpopo Province’s representative on the Forum’s management committee. She is also the full-time director of the Family and Marriage Association of South Africa (FAMSA) Limpopo, having started in 1999 as a volunteer in human services and working her way up over the years.
With an interesting mix of qualifications including a BA Fine Art, a BA Social Work, an Honours in Psychology and a Masters in Play Therapy, it is no surprise that Liza takes a personal interest in helping families and working with children on a daily basis. She is also currently working towards her D(Phil) with a thesis about the effects of trauma on the development of adolescents.
On a personal note: Liza is devoted to her husband of many years and has two grown-up children. She is an avid animal lover and enjoys reading and appreciating art in her spare time.
