Ashoka’s Changemakers is looking for an Outreach Marketing Coordinator to work remotely in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The Role:
This position has three distinct roles: it is one part Community Relationship Manager, one part Customer Service Representative, and one part Advisor for the Ashoka’s Changemakers’ upcoming online challenge. Changemakers runs competitions online to connect those doing good work on the ground with investors, thought leaders, and other likeminded people. For the upcoming collaborative challenge, we will be seeking entrants who use sports to empower women and girls. The goal of the Outreach Marketing Coordinator is to approach various sports-related entities and invite them to share their innovative programming on female empowerment on Changemakers.net. The role will consist of spreading the word about the challenge and responding to inbound questions about Changemakers. In addition, you would be responsible for assisting organizations in utilizing Changemakers, brainstorming creative solutions to outreach challenges and solving any problems the entrants and potential entrants may have. The Outreach Marketing Coordinators report to our Outreach Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities:
* Build strong communications with, and provide support to, potential entrants.
* Implement partner programs and processes, including managing the database and tracking the effectiveness of resulting partner campaigns.
* Attend and host community events and meetings to support the Changemaker’s profile in the local community.
* Build relationships with potential network partners, university students and faculty who are interested in getting involved in the “sports for social change” sector.
