TO ALL SANGONeT USERS Call for Funding Proposals: South African NGOs, NPOs & CBOs Apply Now - RAITH FOUNDATION To enrich peoples lives within their communities First Closing Date: 15 November 2008 Second Closing Date: 15 December 2008 1. Background of the RAITH FOUNDATION The RAITH Foundation was registered as a Trust in March 2001. It is a registered Non-Profit organization and has tax-exempt status. The Foundation is not politically affiliated and does not raise funds from the public. 2. Purpose The purpose of the RAITH Foundation is to enrich lives within communities through supporting those who provide resources, services and related research that meet practical human needs and shift the quality of relations between people. 3. Key Focus Areas Within the scope of the Foundation’s purpose (see 2 above), funds will be allocated to organisations which: * facilitate access to social grants or health services; * facilitate access to library services, music development and promoting urban greening; and * research, develop, manufacture or promote technology for health or safety.
