SACSSP Ethics Workshops 2009 - 2010 |

The SACSSP brings to you another round of provincial workshops focused on promoting minimum standards for professional ethics.
We aim to:
Continually ensure an ethically-competent workforce by:
- encouraging employers to utilise these workshops to induct and orientate new social workers and social auxiliary workers (including learners) on acceptable standards of professional practice;
- supporting universities and training institutions to promote ethical practice amongst all student social workers; and
- reminding registered social workers in all spheres of practice of their ethical obligations.
The workshops will extend beyond generic ethical practices and will include:
- minimum standards in ethics in the specialised fields of social work (including occupational social work);
- continuing professional development;
- supervision;
- registration
The workshops will be held nationally and we are networking with employers to host some of the training sessions.
