Demons and Democracy: Mobility and the Limits of Citizenship in Contemporary South Africa South Africa’s immigration policy and official behaviour towards immigrants have been the subject of much debate and public attention. But there has been little discussion of their implications for democracy. Dr Loren Landau, Director of an academic centre devoted to the study of migration and a respected scholar in the field, will attempt to break new ground by discussing official policy and practice and its relationship to democracy.
