It is our pleasure to invite you to participate in the launching of a Local Welfare Social Service and Development Forum

The time has come for all stakeholders; Civil Society Organizations (NGO’s, CBO’s, NPO’s, Home Base Care, Care Givers, Faith Base Organisations, Health Clinics, Local Authorities, Crèches, Educators and Social Services) to join hands to improve the quality of life of our people.

The purpose and function of the Forum will inter alia be:
1. To co-ordinate services.
2. Identify and meet welfare needs.
3. Involve the community in welfare needs.
4. Link projects to resources.
5. To pursue appropriate personnel, policy, structures and practices in the welfare sector.
6. To inform the public of policies and the effects it may have in their lives.
7. To empower by capacity building, engaging, monitoring and evaluation.
8. To facilitate the restructuring of the present Welfare Social Service and Development system.
9. To strive towards a united welfare system in the province and in our beloved country...
